Minton Set as Assistant AD For BHS This Fall
Bartlesville High School has had a bit of a shakeup in its athletic department prior to this fall.
Longtime Bruin administrator and former golf coach Terry Hughes officially retired at the end of the 2025-26 school year.
Hughes ran quite a bit of scheduling for Bruin Athletics behind the scenes, in addition to many other duties.
BHS replaced him with former softball coach Kyle Minton. Minton is a Bartlesville native and has been with Bartlesville Public Schools for 15 years, serving as the head softball coach for the past seven years.
Minton talks about why he wanted to make this move.
Minton was outrageously successful as Bartlesville’s softball coach. He led BHS to the past five state tournaments in both slow pitch and fast pitch.
He will step into some of Hughes’ rolls and have some added responsibilities, as well. He will oversee quite a bit of the responsibilities within the middle school athletic programs.
Minton talks about some things he can add to Bruin Athletics.
Holden Yoder was tapped as the new BHS softball coach. He has been on the job since early this summer.
Bartlesville softball will begin its practices for this fall in fast pitch within the week.
