Mustangs Split at Verdigris

The Oologah girls’ basketball team battled tough on the road Tuesday night against Verdigris, coming up just short in a close contest. The Mustangs stayed within striking distance throughout the game, but Verdigris was able to hold on late to secure the win. Despite the loss, Oologah’s girls remain competitive early in the season with a 4–2 record.

On the boys’ side, Oologah delivered a strong all-around performance, defeating the Verdigris Cardinals 50–38. The Mustangs set the tone defensively and maintained control throughout the game, limiting scoring opportunities and capitalizing on key possessions. The win improves the Oologah boys to 4–2 on the season.

Overall, it was a solid night for Mustang basketball, highlighted by the boys’ decisive victory and a hard-fought effort from the girls. With both teams sitting at 4–2, Oologah continues to show promise as the season moves deeper into district play.
