Nowata basketball picked up a win on Tuesday night at home over Afton.

The Ironmen topped the Eagles, 75-68.

In a high-scoring first half, Nowata controlled the pace throughout the night. Outside shooting quickly became the theme and Adrian O'Dell shined. He made his second three-pointer of the night in the first quarter to stretch the lead.

Nowata led Afton at halftime, 36-28.

The Ironmen exploded for a 25-point fourth quarter as part of a 39-point second half. This three-pointer from Ty Williams gave Nowata their largest lead of the night.

The Ironmen made enough free throws down the stretch to hang on for the win.

The win improves the Ironmen to 4-2 overall.

The Lady Ironmen fell in the first game of the day, 45-22. They drop to 2-4 overall.

Nowata returns on Friday for a road contest against Chelsea.
