Nowata Boys Hoops Into Winter Break
Nowata boys basketball is heading into the new year looking to build off the success they put together through the first eight games of the season.
The Ironmen currently sit at 5-3 overall. They closed out the fall semester winning two of their last three games. With an extended time off, Nowata has stayed busy with practices and some scrimmages. Head coach Derick Ott talked about maintaining game speed throughout the break.
Nowata is looking to build off of defensive progress that has presented itself through the first eight games, as well as generating as much offense as possible by limiting turnovers. Ott talked about improving on both sides of the ball going into the new calendar year.
Nowata returns for Commerce on Jan. 6 at home.
