OKU Announces New Football Coach
Oklahoma Union High School has announced Josh Middleton as their new football coach.
Middleton was approved by the Oklahoma Union Board of Education during a special meeting on Wednesday to lead the Cougars for the upcoming season.
Middleton comes to Oklahoma Union after serving as the offensive coordinator at Mounds. He also previously coached at Stroud as an assistant.
The search for a new football coach came late in the game after the abrupt departure of former head coach Bruce Munden. Munden led the Cougars for one season last year, finishing 1-9. He left OKU for a head coaching job in Kirksville, Mo. in March.
Spring team camps will begin next month to kickoff the countdown to football season.
