Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball was eliminated from the NAIA postseason on Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles fell in 11 innings to LSU Shreveport, 6-5.

In what started as a pitcher's duel, OKWU took their first lead of the game in the fourth inning after allowing the first run of the contest. Joseph Gutierrez hit a two-run single to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead.

The lead stood for a half inning as LSUS struck for three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to lead, 5-2.

Similar to Monday's game against the Pilots, OKWU had an answer. One run scored after Braydon Caldwell grounded into a double play, then Brenden Poindexter tied the game with a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth.

The Pilots took the lead on a sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th. The Eagles left the tying run on base in the bottom half of the frame.

The loss ends OKWU's season, they finish with an overall record of 38-19.
