OKWU Women's Tennis Back in NAIA Tournament

Oklahoma Wesleyan women's tennis won the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament for the first time in program history over the weekend.
The Lady Eagles completed the sweep of regular season and tournament championships in the KCAC with a win over Bethel College in the finals in Lindsborg, Kan. The regular season conference championship earlier this spring was also the first in program history.
A season ago, OKWU finished third in the KCAC standings and advanced to the KCAC tournament finals before falling to McPherson College.
This season, head coach Julia Mongin was named KCAC Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. Rocio Espinal and Jewel Henderson were named first team alll-conference, with Madeline Henderson and Nancy Henderson named second team all-conference.
The Lady Eagles enter the NAIA national tournament for the second season in a row. They will open against Loyola University New Orleans on May 12. The NAIA women's tennis tournament takes place in Mobile, Alabama.
