Pastor Gets Prison Sentence for Tulsa

A former Claremore pastor, Kendrick Oakley, was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to secretly recording under a woman’s skirt inside a Hobby Lobby in Tulsa. The incident happened in July 2024, when Oakley was seen following the woman through the store and attempting to capture inappropriate video.
Loss prevention employees noticed the suspicious behavior on store cameras and alerted police. Investigators later confirmed Oakley used his phone during the incident, leading to multiple charges.
Oakley previously served on staff at DestinyLife Church and briefly sat on the board of Claremore Christian School. He was removed from those roles following his arrest. In addition to prison time, Oakley will be required to register as a sex offender upon release.
