The Pawhuska Huskies and Lady Huskies are going into the Christmas break with momentum following a sweep of Oologah on Saturday afternoon. Each team escaped with close wins.

On the guys side, Pawhuska got its second win of the season in a 75-71 shootout. Neither team led by double digits. Down the stretch it was a back and forth affair, but with just under two minutes remaining, this basket gave Pawhuska the lead for good.

Jenson Snodgrass made some clutch free throws down the stretch to secure the victory. Both Snodgrass and Darian West were in double figures for Pawhuska.

The girls game was much the same. Pawhuska led 30-26 at halftime before going on to get a 51-47 victory. The Lady Mustangs led a handful of times in the latter stages of the second half.

The play of the game came with a minute remaining when Pawhuska's Brooklyn Miles came up with this steal and turned it into a three point basket.

After Oologah missed a shot, Miles was fouled and she made one of two free throws. Miles led all scorers with 24 points.

Pawhuska is now off until Friday, January 2 when they host Barnsdall.
