The roster is set and baseball is eight days away, as the 90th season of American Legion baseball returns to Bartlesville this summer.

The newly named Doenges Toyota Indians take the field for the first time in the Wichita, Kansas metro area a week from Tuesday.

The roster is set after the tryouts on Saturday at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium downtown. The Tribe named 21 guys, mostly high schoolers from the NE Oklahoma area, but there are a few out-of-towners and some college guys as well.

Manager John Pannell returns to run the program, he talks about the roster.

Following the Indian’s game in Wichita on May 27, the Tribe returns to Bartlesville for its home-opener against that same Kansas Curve club on Friday night May 30.

The Indians will have guys from Bartlesville, Dewey, Nowata, Pawhuska, Caney Valley Ramona, Copan, Wesleyan Christian School and several colleges throughout the region.
