OKM Music Festival Opens at Woolaroc Tonight--Weather Plan Included

The mainstage series begins today, Friday, June 6 with “Under the Stars at Woolaroc.” Gates open at 6:00 p.m. for an evening of music and festivities. Oklahoma’s own Grady Nichols takes the stage at 7:00 p.m., followed by a breathtaking performance at 8:30 p.m. from the Manhattan Chamber Players, who will perform works by Mozart and Grieg.

On Saturday, June 7, the festival moves to Tulsa’s Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center for a Candlelight Series concert. At 6:00 p.m., the Tulsa Honors Baroque Orchestra will showcase young elite musicians from the region. At 7:30 p.m., internationally acclaimed pianist Natasha Paremski will perform a powerful program of Grieg, Chopin, Prokofiev, and Stravinsky.

The festival concludes on Sunday, June 8, with a Grand Finale at the Refinery in the Johnstone-Sare Building in downtown Bartlesville. Opening the evening at 6:00 p.m. are students from Lesa Steele’s Piano Studio, followed by a 7:00 p.m. performance from the Escher String Quartet, returning to the OKM stage for their third consecutive year.

WEATHER UPDATE – WOOLAROC CONCERT PLANS ?️

Your safety and concert enjoyment are our top priorities! Here's what you need to know about our inclement weather plan for the Woolaroc concert:

? If rain is showing on the radar during concert hours:
➡️ The concert will be moved indoors to the Woolaroc Museum.

?️ If no rain is showing on radar but a sudden microburst occurs:
➡️ The concert will also be moved indoors to the museum for everyone’s safety.

If rain or storms are expected to arrive at the end of the evening:
➡️ The Manhattan Chamber Players (MCP) will begin 15 minutes early at 8:15 PM,
➡️ There will be no intermission to allow an earlier finish.

☀️ If the radar shows clear skies throughout the evening:
➡️ The concert will proceed as scheduled:
Grady Nichols at 7:00 PM
MCP at 8:30 PM

We will continue to monitor the weather and make real-time decisions to keep the music going while ensuring everyone stays safe and dry. ?
