Nowata Co. Commissioners Discuss Radios and Wages

The Nowata County Commissioners met for the final time in June on Monday morning at the Nowata County Annex.
 
The commissioners continued to discuss courthouse improvements, discussing the replacement of compressors and adding dehumidifiers.
 
Nowata County Emergency Manager Laurie Summers said radios for first responders must be a priority.
 
The board passed resolutions for a donation to the sheriff's office and executed an agreement establishing ACCO-SIG, the association for county commissioners in Oklahoma, and set up a payment plan with the association.
 
The commissioners also approved a zoning letter for Bellco Trucking, approved the juvenile detention center agreement with Craig County and gave approval for the Nowata County Sheriff's Office to work with GeoSafe Inc., giving officers enhanced computer technology when in the field.
 
During announcements, Commissioner Brandon Wesson talked about wages for employees.
 
The Nowata County Commissioners meet every Monday morning at 9 a.m. at the Nowata County Annex across from the courthouse, 228 N. Maple St.
