Firework Regulations Across the Area

The City of Bartlesville wants to remind residents shooting off fireworks within city limits is illegal. Violating this ordinance could result in a confiscation of fireworks and a fine of up to $300. 
 
Fireworks are allowed in Dewey, but a permit will be required and can be picked up at city hall. Permits cost $50 per person. In Nowata, permits will not be required on Thursday or Friday, but residents must be done firing off fireworks by 11 p.m.
 
In Pawhuska, no fireworks are allowed within city limits. In Barnsdall, fireworks will be allowed through 10 p.m. on Friday. A permit will be required if shooting off fireworks in Hominy. The permit is $10 and you will be able to shoot off fireworks from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.   
 
In Caney, Kansas, fireworks can be set off on Friday and Saturday until midnight. The police department asks that you avoid public parks, dry brush and roadways. In Caney, Oklahoma, residents can set off fireworks through Sunday. No permit is needed.
