Indians Split Ahead of Winget

Bartlesville’s boys of summer will have a bit of momentum heading into the Indian's biggest event of the season.
The Doenges Toyota Indians played well and split a double-header last night in DBAT League play, as the Tribe go 2-2 early this week before the 66th Glen Winget Tournament kicks off on Thursday.
Indians lost game one 7-5 but took game two 4-2 against DBAT Tulsa.
Game one was nearly another great Bartlesville comeback. After a big come-from-behind win in game one on Monday, the Indians almost pulled another rabbit out of the hat. Trailing 7-1, Bartlesville got all the way within two, but stranded runners doomed the Tribe.
This RBI knock from Jaxon Zaun got the offensive train rolling.
Lathe Griggs kept Tulsa at bay. The Dewey Bulldogger threw three perfect innings out of the bullpen, this strikeout capped of his outing.
Bartlesville would strand eight in scoring position over the first six innings and left 12 in total in the game. Despite out-hitting Tulsa 12-6, the Indians fell by two.
Game two got a couple great outings on the mound from Zane Griggs then Hunter Shea to hold onto the win.
Brenden Asher drove in four for the double-header, including two here to get the scoring started.
Grant Clark had another multi-hit game. Clark went 3-3 with a double in the alley to drive the bus in game two.
In total, Bartlesville pounded out 19 base hits over 13 offensive innings in the double-header. The Glen Winget Tournament kicks off at 11:00 on Thursday morning, with the Indians starting at 8:00 on KWON & KWONTV.com.
