Accused Dewey Pet Groomer Agrees to Have No Contact With Other People's Animals

Nathan Thompson
A Dewey pet groomer who is facing animal cruelty charges has agreed to a bond condition that she have no contact with other people's animals.
50-year-old Angela Aldana, owner of Angie's Pet Salon, was charged Monday with two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals. Aldana made her initial appearance in Washington County District Court Tuesday afternoon and reappeared before Associate District Judge Russell Vaclaw on Wednesday.
Vaclaw was expected to view video evidence of the alleged abuse to make a determination on whether or not the condition of no contact with animals should be enforced.
However, Aldana's attorney, Stephen Riley, announced Wednesday that he and the District Attorney's office had agreed on the condition without the court viewing the video.
Aldana was ordered back to court on Aug. 20 at 9 a.m. for her next hearing.
District Attorney Will Drake tells Bartlesville Radio he is asking anyone with concerns of or information about additional animal abuse claims, to please contact his office at 918-337-2860.
Bartlesville Radio has submitted an Open Records Act request to the District Attorney's Office for the video, asserting release of the video is in the public's interest and that the video is subjected to release under Oklahoma law.
Bartlesville Radio has chosen not to share any video of the alleged abuse that has been distributed on social media or by another news organization to ensure authenticity.
Once we receive a response from the District Attorney's Office, Bartlesville Radio will update this developing story.
