Nehemiah House to Host Inaugural Rummage Sale This Weekend

Nehemiah Community Development is holding its inaugural Rummage Sale on Friday and Saturday, July 18–19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 222 SE Washington Blvd in the parking lot of the old Emerald Hotel.
All proceeds from the sale will support housing and transportation costs for participants in Nehemiah House’s reentry programs, which assist formerly incarcerated individuals and their families in building stable, self-sufficient lives.
These proceeds will be used a scholarship for new clients to work on improving themselves for their first 30 days. They will also learn the basics of money mangement and other things before going back to a job.
Founded in 2015, Nehemiah House provides holistic services and culturally competent support, including emergency and permanent housing, to help clients reintegrate successfully into society.
