The 79th annual Cavalcade Rodeo is upon us in Pawhuska and there are plenty of events taking place all week long at the fairgrounds, with morning and evening rodeo performances and nightly concerts all leading up to the finals on Sunday morning.

Chairman of the yearly event, Jeff Bute said the windstorm that hit Osage County did a number on the fairgrounds. As a result, he was unsure how things would this week, but he praised the hard work of those who got the fairgrounds back to their normal working order.

While the rodeo is the main event of the week, Bute says the vendors around the arena and the nightly performances are also can't miss attractions about Cavalcade.

The morning rodeo performances begin at 9 a.m. each day with evening performances taking place at 7 p.m. Sunday's final performance starts at 10 a.m. Nightly concerts run through Saturday at the fairgrounds and will start at 10:30 p.m.

Tickets for each performance costs $10 for those aged 13 and up. Children aged six to twelve get in for $5 and those under the age of 5 get in free.
