Nowata Co. Commissioners Discuss Tower Maintenance

The Nowata County Commissioners met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday morning at the Nowata County Annex.
The board approved a resolution to make Guy Engineering the responsible party for bridge inspections in the county.
The board also approved resolutions for bids to be let for hot mix, loading of miscellaneous materials and for printing ballots. They also approved a resolution for reimbursement to the election board.
In the latest update on the radio tower project across the county, District Two Commissioner Brandon Wesson said there's one final step before the full maintenance will be complete.
The tower has a previous history of water leaks.
According to Chairman Paul Crupper, maintenance is still ongoing on the radio tower in New Alluwe.
Once the project is completed, first responders will be able to get a stronger radio signal in more rural areas of the county.
The Nowata County Commissioners meet every Monday morning at 9 a.m. at the Nowata County Annex, directly across from the courthouse.
