The South Coffeyville Lions opened their season with a challenging matchup at home against Aspire HomeSchool on November 20. The Trailblazers proved tough, handing the Lions a 52-18 loss in a game that tested South Coffeyville’s resilience. Despite the final score, the early contest offered the Lions a valuable look at areas for growth as they continue developing their offensive rhythm and competitive confidence.

Just one night later, South Coffeyville rebounded with a strong showing on the road against Foyil. The Lions came together cohesively on both ends of the floor, earning a 39-24 victory and improving to 1-1 on the season. The win highlighted South Coffeyville’s ability to respond after a setback, showing early signs of leadership and tenacity that will be key in close battles later in the year.

South Coffeyville’s momentum continued to build at the Copan Shootout Tournament on December 7, where they delivered an impressive 48-36 victory over the Copan Hornets. Combined with a previous 37-26 win over Copan, the Lions have demonstrated they can tighten their defense and execute under pressure. With confidence rising and pieces falling into place, this group may be on the verge of something truly exciting as the season progresses.
