Area Athletes Shine at OCA All-State

The Oklahoma Coaches Association held its all-state games last week and schools across northeast Oklahoma were well represented.
Bartlesville, Pawhuska and Barnsdall all had players in the all-state football game. Wide receiver Damian Niko and lineman Junior Earnhart represented the Bruins, Chase Eaves and Lane Kyler each represented Pawhuska and both Brohk Townley and Maverick Lamphear represented Barnsdall.
Bartlesville was well-represented at the OCA swim meet. On the guy's side, Luke Olsen, Camden McDonald and Ethan Peterson were all represented. On the girl's side, both Erin Roper and Annabelle Droege made the all-state team.
Owen May was also nominated from the Bruin tennis team. May was a regional champion during his senior season and took home a fifth place state consolation championship. Here is what May's coach, Bryan Reese said about his accomplishments.
Oklahoma Union's Ava Smith was an all-state volleyball player and Joslyn Harbin of Caney Valley was selected as an all-state golfer.
