Barnsdall Impresses at Mounds Scrimmage
The Barnsdall Panthers took to the Friday night lights for the first time in Mounds last week and were able to get some valuable reps before taking the field for the real thing this week. The varsity team got 40 plays and a quarter of simulated action.
Coach Kylee Sweeney said during that simulated game the Panthers scored a couple of times and held Mounds scoreless. In all, he was pleased with what he saw, but knows there is always room for improvement.
Sweeney goes on to talk about some players who stepped up, not only against Mounds, but since fall camp opened.
Barnsdall will host Caney Valley on Friday for our game of the week on 100.1 KYFM. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
