Bartlesville Baseball Drops District Opener

Bartlesville High baseball came close to getting its first District win on Monday night at home against Sand Springs but couldn’t quite get over the hump.
The Sandites held on to a 4-3 victory at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium.
BHS got good outings from Sam Hill and Sam Marcella on the mound. The two combined to give up only four hits across seven innings. However, Bartlesville made three errors and gave Sand Springs seven free passes.
Bartlesville only got three hits on the afternoon, including a big two-RBI knock from Braden Neil.
The Bruins are 1-3 and go to Sand Springs for the second of the two-game District set on Tuesday evening.
