Bartlesville Football in Dead Period

Bartlesville High football will have its first down period for several weeks this week, as the mandatory OSSAA Dead Period means there will be no Summer Pride workouts at BHS this week.

The Bruins have been hard after it since the middle part of May getting set for an interesting 2025 season.

Bartlesville was back at Pittsburg State for a team camp in Kansas following the Bruin’s own spring practice. This was the first time in a couple of seasons that Bartlesville went to the Pitt State team camp. BHS had opted to stay closer to home last year.

Head coach Harry Wright says that the out of state trip is worth it for many reasons.

One of the first standouts this offseason is BHS running back Sutton Williams. Williams appears to be primed to play a bigger role on both sides of the ball this season. He showed flashes of brilliance with the ball in his hand a year ago.

Wright talks about William’s spring and summer.

We will have more on offseason Bruin football throughout the next few weeks.
