BHS Golf 6th at State Preview
Bartlesville High boy’s golf wrapped up the 6A State Preview on Thursday afternoon at Hillcrest Country Club.
The Bruins finished sixth as a team, while junior Jay Wasemiller finished at No. 5 overall. There were 16 6A teams at the event.
Head coach Carl Holmes says the Bruins are trending in the right direction. Wasemiller finished with a 71, Hudson Coats was second best with a 75.
Holmes talks about training in the middle season for BHS.
Holmes also mentioned that the Bruin’s sixth bag in Ethan Phelps shot a 73, which would have tied for seventh if it was useable.
Bartlesville will need to finish in the top six of Regionals to qualify the team for state. Regionals are in about a week and a half.
Next tournament for the Bruins is in Edmond on Thursday of next week.
