BHS Hoops Starts Thursday
We are only one day away from Bartlesville High’s basketball opener, as BHS will begin the 2025-26 season with a twin bill at home against Rejoice Christian on Thursday.
Rejoice will be a challenge. Both Eagle teams won 18 games last year and both have numerous returners.
Both BHS teams also have a number of players back this winter. On the girl’s side, Sami Shaeffer, Emma Zimmerman, Kenzie Denny and Cadence Gray all return and will all be seniors this year.
Head coach Justyn Shaw, back for his fifth sesaon, talks about those senior leaders.
Shaeffer will be Bartlesville’s first NCAA Division I talent since Jena’ Williams. She signed with Central Arkansas officially last week.
Shaw says it is nice to have the college recruitment out of the way for her senior season.
Bartlesville will tip things off on the girl’s side at 6:30 with the boys around 8:00 on Wednesday night at Bruin Field House.
