Big Win for Lady Bruin Softball
Bartlesville High softball came away with a convincing blow out win in a vital District contest on Monday evening in Bixby.
The Lady Bruins blew out the Spartans 11-0 to grab their sixth District win.
It was the second win over Bixby by 10 runs or more this fall. BHS struck for 10 runs in the top fourth to put it away. Savannah Alden again played the hero. She was one of three Lady Bruins with multiple hits.
Alden had two doubles and two RBIs. Meanwhile Erin Bridendolph drove in four more from the leadoff spot.
The win puts BHS alone in second place in 6A District 2 and gives Bartlesville a sweep and tiebreaker over Bixby.
Another crucial District game this evening for Bartlesville, as the Lady Bruins head to Sand Springs.
The Sandites beat Bartlesville in extra innings back on Aug. 26 in their first matchup.
