Both Oklahoma Wesleyan soccer teams won the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament championship on Wednesday in Wichita.

The women's team got the afternoon started against Friends University and had to pull it out in penalty kicks. The match was scoreless through regulation and both halves of extra time. The Lady Eagles won the penalty kick shootout, 4-3, to seal the conference title.

This is the second time in three years that the Lady Eagles have won the KCAC tournament and the sixth time in seven years. The Lady Eagles last won the conference tournament in 2023 and won it every year since 2019.

The men's conference final that followed was not nearly as close. Oklahoma Wesleyan dominated from the start, scoring four goals in the first half. The Eagles added another in the second half to run past Ottawa University, 5-0.

Nemanja Vukovic and Julian Tovar led the way with two goals each, Adrian Mejia netted one for the Eagles as well.

This is the sixth straight year the Eagles have won the KCAC tournament.

Both soccer teams will know their NAIA national tournament assignments during the selection show on Friday evening. The men's show will start up at 5 p.m. with the women's selection show to follow at 6 p.m.
