Bruins Open COP Arvest Thursday
One of the most eventful weekends in local sports is here, as the ConocoPhillips Arvest Invitational kicks off at Bruin Field House on Thursday morning.
Both BHS teams enter their own tournament coming off losses after winter break, as Putnam City North topped Bartlesville in a double-header on Tuesday night in OKC.
Both tournaments feature a different look than years past, as some tournament stalwarts are not in the field this year.
On the girl’s side, Broken Arrow, East Central, Edmond Memorial, Del City, Millwood, Life Prep Academy, Tulsa Rogers and BHS are the eight clubs.
On the boy’s side it is Tulsa McClain, Union, Yukon, Broken Arrow, Tulsa Rogers, Owasso and Mustang and Bartlesville will get after it starting this morning.
Boys head coach Jake Christenson talks about trying to get some wins this weekend.
The Lady Bruins will face Tulsa Rogers while the Bruin guys take on Mustang at 7:00 and 8:30 on Thursday night in two games we will have on KWON and KWONTV.com.
