The Caney Valley Trojans basketball season has come to a close for both the guys and girls squads after both fell in regional play. For the guys, it was a stellar season that ended up with 14 total wins which is double the number of games that were won in 2023.

The Trojans did battle with Oklahoma Union last Thursday in a regional elimination game and hit a wall as the Cougars came out on top, 38-20. Head Coach Tug Brinker talks about the season-ending loss.

The Trojans will now see four of their five starters graduate this May, as they say goodbye to seniors Rocky Hester, Cooper Fogle, Taten Longan, and Logan Fowler. Brinker shares his thoughts on the four seniors.

The Trojan guys end their season at 14-10, with a consolation plaque in their own tournament, and in the Chelsea Tournament. For the girls, they finish at 16-9 with a championship plaque from their own tournament and a regional win, before losing to Sallisaw in the Regional Consolation Championship
