Custer Stadium Hosts Another World Cup Watch Party

Bartlesville soccer fans will have another chance to wave the stars and stripes, and probably yell at the referee from several thousand miles away, as the community's third FIFA World Cup watch party takes over Custer Stadium on Monday evening. The free event features the United States taking on Belgium in the Round of 16, with gates opening at 6 p.m. and kickoff set for 7 p.m. Organizers are encouraging fans to bring lawn chairs, family, friends, and enough patriotic spirit to make the stadium feel just a little bit like home-field advantage.
If cheering burns too many calories, food vendors Tacowasso and Remi's Sweet Treats will be on hand to keep fans fueled throughout the match. The event is sponsored by Andrea Bastings Photography, helping bring the community together for another night celebrating "the beautiful game." Admission is free, and organizers hope to fill Custer Stadium once again as Team USA looks to punch its ticket to the World Cup quarterfinals.
