Dewey Hoops Falls in Triple OT to Adair

Dewey Bulldogger basketball came to a close on Saturday after a triple overtime loss to Adair in the regional consolation championship.
The Bulldoggers fell to Adair, 96-90.
In a high scoring game from the start, Dewey got control of the second quarter. They outscored the Warriors, 23-13, to take a 42-33 lead into the halftime break. This three-pointer from Gage Hawkins put Dewey up by four early in the second quarter.
Dewey held a two-point lead going into the fourth quarter but could not hang on in regulation.
The Bulldoggers came up big defensively to shut down Adair at the buzzer in the first overtime to force a second. With Dewey down three in the final seconds of double-overtime, Zach Renfroe kept Dewey's season alive.
Dewey was outscored 10-4 in the third overtime period to fall by six.
The Bulldoggers end their campaign with an overall record of 24-4.
On the girl's side, the Lady Bulldoggers also saw their season come to a close in the consolation regional championship in overtime. They fell to Metro Christian Academy, 60-53. The Dewey girls end their season with an overall record of 19-10.
