Dewey Hoops Meets Salina in Elimination Game

Dewey Bulldogger basketball faces elimination on Friday afternoon in Adair against Salina.
The Bulldoggers dropped into the consolation bracket of regionals after a loss to Wyandotte on Tuesday, 79-51. Salina, on the other hand, took out Dove Science Academy to get to Friday's game on Thursday night, 55-34. That was Salina's first win of the season.
Head coach Lance Knight talks about not knowing the opponent until the night before the game.
Dewey has to win two straight games starting on Friday to advance to area. Tuesday's loss was Dewey's first since Jan. 8 to Oologah in the semifinals of Oologah's tournament, 68-51. The Bulldoggers were on a 13-game winning streak.
The Bulldoggers are heavy favorites to advance to Saturday's consolation championship game against either Adair or Daniel Webster. Knight talks about the mindset going into Friday.
The Lady Bulldoggers also face elimination Friday afternoon against Salina at 1 p.m. with the boys to follow around 2:30 p.m. Full coverage of the boy's game can be heard on an audio only livestream on KWONTV.com.
