Dewey Hoops Sweeps Caney Valley (OK)
Dewey Bulldogger basketball beat the Caney Valley Trojans in Ramona on Friday night.
The Bulldoggers beat the Trojans, 63-46.
Dewey rode a hot second quarter en route to another double digit win. The Bulldoggers outscored the Trojans in the second quarter, 23-6, to take a 39-17 lead into halftime. Late in the second quarter, this three-pointer from Zach Renfroe stretched the lead to 17 points.
Caney Valley got hot in the second half, but it was too little too late for the Trojans. After a quiet first half, Zac Longan started to heat up in the final two frames. He made this three-pointer late in the third quarter.
Dewey improves to 13-2 overall with the win, they have won three straight. Caney Valley falls to 9-4 with the loss.
The Dewey Lady Bulldoggers picked up a win in the girls game, 52-41. The Lady Bulldoggers are 9-6, the Lady Trojans fall to 11-2.
The Bulldoggers return for Sperry at home on Tuesday night. The Trojans are back in action on Monday night on the road for Barnsdall.
