Dewey Hoops Sweeps District Championship Round

Dewey Bulldogger basketball swept Sequoyah (Claremore) in their district championship games on Friday night in Dewey.
The Lady Bulldoggers won a tight one, 54-48, the Bulldoggers pulled away in the second half en route to a 69-57 win.
In the boy's game, Kooper Crawford took over. Outside shooting was an early theme for Dewey, Crawford contributed with this three-pointer early in the game.
Dewey led by five at halftime, 33-28.
In the second half, Dewey controlled the pace on the defensive end, outscoring the Eagles in the final two frames, 36-29.
One highlight was this steal and score from Karson Johnson to close out the third quarter.
The win puts Dewey in the winner's bracket of regionals where they will take on Wyandotte in Adair. That ballgame tips off on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile for the Lady Bulldoggers, they will also be in the winner's bracket of regionals in Adair, facing Adair at 6 p.m. on Tuesday night.
