Dewey Softball Off to Hot Start

Dewey softball is underway this fall, and through the first month the Lady Bulldoggers are heating up.
The Lady Bulldoggers are 11-3 overall out of the gate and have won five straight. Dewey recently went 2-0 in the Dewey Festival, with dominant wins over Nowata and Vinita.
Dewey is back in 3A softball this season after competing at the 4A level last fall. A season ago, the Lady Bulldoggers finished 19-18 with three wins at their regional tournament.
Head coach Riley Allen said the group has solid senior leadership.
District play has also begun, and Dewey is in a battle with Adair for the top spot. Both teams are unbeaten in district games. The Lady Bulldoggers are 4-0, with four dominant wins over Commerce and Sequoyah (Claremore). Adair is off to a 6-0 start in district action.
In district action, Allen talked about some things he's looking for.
Dewey hosts Adair on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. before going to Adair on Thursday.
