Dewey volleyball is off to a solid start this season, opening up the season with a tournament championship in Claremore on Saturday.

The Lady Bulldoggers played 10 sets in pool play, against five teams in total, and won seven of the 10 sets. Dewey won both sets against Will Rogers and Salina, and split with Pryor, Sequoyah (Claremore) and Wesleyan Christian School.

Dewey took out Salina in a semifinal match in bracket play before sweeping Sequoyah, the host of the tournament, in two sets.

Kaylee Cole and Camrin Jones were named to the all-tournament team.

The wins improve Dewey volleyball to 2-1 this fall. The Lady Bulldoggers return to the court on Tuesday for a match against Oklahoma Union on the road.
