The season was on the line for the Pawhuska Huskies on Thursday night, as they were taking on the Caney Valley Trojans in a win-or-go-home ballgame at Oren-Terrill Fieldhouse. Pawhuska took care of Caney Valley, winning in dominant fashion, 62-35.

It was a back and forth affair early, with each team swapping baskets in the first quarter. Pawhuska led it 13-11 at the end of the first quarter. Pawhuska's Dax Godsey had 16 points in the first half, including this basket to end the half.

In the third quarter, Pawhuska went on a 19-5 run to take command of the game. Part of that run was this defensive play, which allowed Jenson Snodgrass to score his first two points of the night.

Godsey led the way in scoring for the Huskies, as he finished with 18 points. Darian West added 11 points. Caney Valley's Preston Gipson had 11.

The Nowata Lady Ironmen defeated Fairland in the first game of the night, 55-39. They will play Hooker at 1 p.m.

Pawhuska will now play Fairview at 2:30 p.m. in another game the Huskies must win. That is a game you can listen to on 99.1 FM KPGM and audio streaming on KPGMTV.com.
