Huskies Look to Win at Rejoice, Get Home Playoff Game

The Pawhuska Huskies lost in heartbreaking fashion last week against Adair, as the Warriors won the game on a walk-off field goal. That loss dashed Pawhuska's hopes of a district title, but with a win on Friday night, the Huskies will still host a first round home playoff game.

Despite the tough loss, Coach Matt Hennesy says his team has been dialed in all week and they are ready to take on a good Rejoice Christian team.

The Eagles suffered several injuries early in the year, but have mostly recovered to full strength. Rejoice Christian will still be without their starting quarterback, but Hennesy said they are beginning to learn how to live without him.

With a win over the Eagles, Pawhuska will host Kansas in the first round of the playoffs. With a loss, they will travel to either Kiefer or Victory Christian.

Kickoff from Rejoice Christian is scheduled for 7 p.m. Pregame coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. on Sportstalk KPGM FM 99.1 and KPGMTV.com.
