Huskies Ready for Battle of the Osage
The Pawhuska Huskies have outscored their first two opponents of the season 126-25. In their most recent win over Meeker, the Pawhuska defense held the Bulldogs to negative 93 yards of total offense in the first half.
This week, Pawhuska travels to Hominy for a Battle of the Osage showdown and Coach Matt Hennesy knows his team will be in for a fight. He said practice has went well leading up to the game, but knows the Bucks will be well-prepared.
Hennesy said non-district rivalry games early in the season is exactly what he wants to see on the schedule, as strengths and weaknesses will be identified on film. He went on to say what it will take for Pawhuska to go out and get the win on Friday night.
Pawhuska will kickoff against Hominy at 7 p.m. on Friday evening. Coverage can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM and streaming on KPGMTV.com.
