Indians Few Days Off

A couple more weeks left of Doenges Toyota Indians baseball, but the Tribe’s season is starting to wind down.

No games on Wednesday for the Indians, as Bartlesville had its final couple of games in the DBAT League Tournament called off due to forfeit.

Bartlesville won the Glen Winget Tournament over the weekend, then made a serious run against collegiate teams in the DBAT League event earlier this week. The Tribe has some much-needed time off before likely having much of this weekend off.

The Indians are 20-22 on the year, marking the third year in the past four seasons that the summer club has won 20 games or more.

More impressively, the Indians have won nine of their last 11 after falling more than 10 games under .500 just a few weeks ago.

The Stan Musial World Series is the next major thing on the docket, which is slated to begin on Wednesday of next week at Bill Doenges Memorial Stadium. The State Legion Tournament is then the weekend following, that event has been moved to Ada starting on July 24.

There is also still a possibility of the Indians adding a game or two this weekend.
