Lady Bruins Season Comes to an End Against Mustang

It was overtime heartbreak for the Bartlesville Lady Bruins in the first round of the state tournament, as they fell to the Mustang Lady Broncos, 62-55 at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman. 
 
The Lady Broncos outscored Bartlesville 12-5 in overtime. Bartlesville's first three points came from the foul line. Their lone basket came with 11 seconds left trailing by seven.  
 
With the Lady Bruins trailing by a point with 90 seconds remaining in regulation, this clutch three-pointer from Emma Zimmerman put Bartlesville back out in front.
 
Following a Bartlesville turnover with 30 seconds left, Mustang made a basket following an offensive rebound to tie it at 50. The Lady Bruins had a look at three that would have won it, but the shot came up short. 
 
The Lady Bruins held a 26-22 lead at halftime, but Mustang was able to go on a run in the third quarter and take a one point lead entering the final frame. 
 
Sami Sheaffer, Shaylyn Ishem and Emma Zimmerman were all in double figures. Bartlesville finishes the season 17-11.
