Noah Wilson This Week's Patriot Auto Player of the Week
It is another Monday across northeast Oklahoma, which means it is tome to feature another Athlete of the week thanks to the Patriot Family of Autos and today we feature Pawhuska's Noah Wilson.
Wilson is a multi-sport athlete, playing basketball in the winter and throwing the shot put and discus in the spring. Before hitting the hardwood, Wilson hopes to play five more weeks of high school football, a sport he has been playing since third grade. Wilson is Pawhuska's leading tackler at the linebacker position, which is a spot he has enjoyed lining up at.
Coach Matt Hennesy has joked that this senior class is the first one that has gotten the full, “Coach Henno Experience.” Wilson explains what that is in his own words.
Wilson says he expects the basketball team to build off of the momentum they built at the end of the season and added that he enjoys throwing the shot put and discus because it only takes one good throw to have a good day. This time next year, he hopes to still be playing football, as he has two collegiate offers, but the school he is most interested in has him changing positions.
He is considering studying either accounting or finance.
