Nowata Basketball Looking to Build on Solid 2022 Season
The Nowata Ironmen are getting set for their first basketball season with new Head Coach Derrick Ott, as Ott is taking over for previous Head Coach Nate Smith. For Ott, he is inheriting a roster that lost one starter from last year’s team and is going to be without another starter in Yamarion Cole for just the first five-six games.
This Ironmen team went 20-7 in 2022-23 and won a district and conference title. A lot of fire power is returning with Kaleb Bashford, Spencer Bullen, and Michael or Chelo Prince.
Coach Ott talks about how important it is to bring back the amount of experience that they are.
