Nowata hoops fell to Ketchum on Monday night, 58-54.

The Ironmen struggled to get offense early, they scored just 21 points in the first half. Nowata was down by as many as 11 points in the first half after a 7-0 Ketchum run. The Ironmen responded with a 6-0 run to get back in the game.

This Caleb Woolman bucket through contact capped off Nowata's run in the second.

Nowata trailed 29-21 at the half.

Nowata's offense came to life in the third quarter. The Ironmen took the lead for a short time in the third before the Warriors closed out the quarter on a 6-0 run. This three-pointer from Talon Thompson gave Nowata the lead.

The Ironmen played from behind in the fourth quarter, getting as close as two points on multiple occasions but could not deliver the winning stroke. Ketchum made enough free throws down the stretch to hang on for the win.

The loss for Nowata drops their record at 11-11 going into the postseason on Thursday.

On the girl's side, the Lady Ironmen got a senior night win over Ketchum, 45-38. The Lady Ironmen will head into the postseason with a record of 7-14.

Both Nowata clubs will play a district championship game to open the postseason against the Caney Valley Trojans. The girl's game will tip-off first at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow around 7:30 p.m.
