Nowata Hoops Heads to Ramona Tuesday Night
Nowata basketball returns to action Tuesday night as they travel Caney Valley for another matchup with the Trojans. This will be the third and final matchup of the regular season, as the Ironmen met up with Caney Valley in the Chelsea tournament and in a regular season conference game.
Those two others ended in a split decision, with Nowata winning the first matchup by 10, and the Trojans winning the second matchup on a buzzer-beater, 54-52. For the Ironmen, they hit a rough stretch the last three weeks of January but bounced back with a win over Oklahoma Union last Friday.
Of Nowata’s 12-losses this season, six of them have been by single-digits. Head Coach Derick Ott talks about what they need to do differently in these single-digit games to flip the result.
