Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball is in the heart of conference play with the month of March nearing an end.
The Eagles head into their seventh conference series of the season with an overall record of 20-12, and 13-8 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
Prior to conference play getting started, OKWU had their biggest grind of the season in Lakeland, Fla. in late January and early February. The Eagles played seven games in an eight day stretch, including four games against last year's national runner-up in Southeastern University (FL). Head coach Kirk Kelley talks about the team's time in Florida.
OKWU has won three of their last four games with offense leading the way. In each of the three wins, the Eagles have scored 11 runs. They beat McPherson at home in a three game series last weekend and beat Southwestern (KS) on the road on Tuesday in a midweek conference game.
The Eagles return on Friday for a road conference series against York. Kelley talks about the matchup.
First pitch on Friday in Nebraska is set for 12 p.m.
