Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball swept McPherson College on Saturday in their final Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) doubleheader of the regular season.

The Lady Eagles got the afternoon started with a 74-67 win, followed by another win for the Eagles, 88-83.

In the women's game, the Lady Eagles used early momentum to build on a double-digit lead in the first half. The Lady Eagles took a 39-27 lead into the halftime break, and led by 20 going into the fourth quarter, 61-41.

Things got interesting in the fourth after McPherson opened the final frame on an 18-4 run to cut the deficit to six. The Bulldogs got within three with just under two minutes left but OKWU hung on to secure the win. This bucket from Sophia Regalado helped put McPherson away.

The win concludes the season for the Lady Eagles, they finish the season 11-17 overall and 7-15 in the KCAC.

In the men's game, the Eagles got off to a great start on offense. Midway through the first half, OKWU went on an 18-8 run to lead by 17. They stretched the lead as large as 21 points before taking a 55-37 lead into the break.

Similar to the women's game, McPherson found an answer in the second half. The Bulldogs cut it to a three point game in the final nine minutes, and later to four in the final minute. McPherson never fully overcam the deficit. This dunk from Tamaje Izuagbe stretched the lead back to nine in the final three minutes.

The win finishes off the regular season for the Eagles at 25-3, they finish KCAC play at 20-2. The Eagles are back in action for the opening round of the KCAC tournament against Avila University in Bartlesville on Thursday at a time to be announced.
