OU Renames Baseball Stadium After Bartlesville Family
A Bartlesville family is permanently recognized as a huge part of OU baseball. The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents approved the renaming of L. Dale Mitchell Park after a Bartlesville family.
The meeting took place on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. in Oklahoma City.
The ballpark has been renamed to Kimrey Family Stadium.
The Kimrey’s started giving to OU baseball starting in 2018 and have since dedicated 25 million dollars to Sooner athletics, about 15 million of that is earmarked for baseball.
The money will go to support the construction of a new clubhouse, premium seating and a modern performance center.
