Patriot Athlete of the Week: Colten Wickham
It's the start of another week and we have another Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech.
This week, we head to Northern Nowata County and feature Oklahoma Union Cougar Colten Wickham.
Wickham, a three sport athlete at Oklahoma Union, is getting set for his senior season in track and field this spring. Wickham also plays football and basketball. He talks about his experience at OKU.
Between Wickham's three sports, he says he prefers track and field. He talks about why he enjoys it.
On the track, Wickham competes in the long jump, 4x100 meter relay, 4x200 meter relay and the 4x400 meter relay. Wickham was part of a 4x100 relay team that placed fourth at last year's 2A state track meet.
Wickham plans on running track in college and is thinking about a business major.
With the season coming up this week, Wickham says the expectations are high.
OKU's track season starts on Thursday in Jay.
