Patriot Athlete of the Week: Dennis Duncan

It is another Monday and we’re wrapping up high school basketball season with our final hoops Patriot Auto Area Athlete of the Week.
This week we will feature Bartlesville boys’ basketball standout Dennis Duncan.
Duncan has been a mainstay for BHS hoops the past two years, as he was one of the biggest leaders for the Bruins over his varsity career.
Duncan helped BHS improve from three wins each of the past two seasons to 10 for his senior campaign.
He says the improvement in the win column was based on hard work.
Ducan moved to the point guard position this winter – a big change for a program that had issues turning the ball over in 2025.
The Bruins decreased their turnovers by nearly six-per-game from last year to this season. Bartlesville also averaged nearly 18 more points-per-game on offense. Both were categories that reflected the improved play at point guard from Duncan.
Duncan comes from a line of athletes. His sister, KK Duncan, was one of the bgest scorers of the past decade for Lady Bruin hoops.
He says he has a younger brother to look out for, as well.
Duncan is going to continue his basketball career at the next level at Southwestern Christian Univeristy in Bethany.
Congrats to Dennis Duncan, this week’s Patriot Auto Area Athlete of the Week, powered by Tri County Tech.
